Heart disease is the number one killer of women.

Each year, thousands of women die from heart disease in the U.S. Healthier living and lifestyle changes can dramatically reduce this figure.  The first step is education.

McLaren Macomb is a proud sponsor of Go Red for Women. This American Heart Association program is designed to educate women on heart disease and the importance of healthy lifestyle choices. As part of this initiative, McLaren Macomb invites women to share their heart health stories.

If you or someone you love has had a personal experience with heart disease and made lifestyle changes, we want to hear from you. We want to know how small or large changes are making a difference in your life, and we want to share your story with women across Southeast Michigan. In fact, your story may be featured on McLaren Macomb’s web site, in newsletters or at the 2014 Go Red Luncheon.

Every woman who submits a story by December 1, 2013 will be entered in a drawing to win a $100 gift card. McLaren Macomb and the American Heart Association encourage you to share your heart health story. It may just save a woman’s life.
